This was a game jam game made in a group of 3. My capstone partner and I decided to use this as an opportunity to make a 2D prototype for our capstone project. The premise of the game is a 360 degree rhythm shooter and I think we translated that concept pretty well into 2D. An Xbox controller was the main input to the game and we used both thumb sticks to simulate the dual gun setup we would have for our capstone. I worked on creating a spectrum analyzer for the song data to create a visualizer which would scale objects to the audio levels over all frequencies. I split up the audio data into 8 bands and averaged out the levels then normalized them for use with other scripts. I also worked on creating some lighting effects to simulate a dance floor, which would change between colors to the bpm of the song.
